MY STORY

Hi,

I'm Bianca and I am a Textile Designer from Hove. I don't really know where my love of Design came from, all I know is that I have always been creative as soon as I could put pen to paper, I have always drawn and painted. When I was four I started to go to art club on a Saturday morning and my favourite shop to go to was the local haberdashery store!

After pursuing both Art and Textiles at GCSEs and A levels, I went to art college and ended up with a first class degree in Woven Textiles at loughborough University.  I have worked in the Textile Industry for over 15 years working with British, Italian and Chinese Mills designing fabric for both printed and woven fabrics for Designer labels and many high street Brands.

When the pandemic hit, I lost my much loved job in the textiles industry but that in turn gave me this amazing opportunity to design my own range of Homewares and Kitchenware, something I had only dreamt of doing before.

You will always find me taking photographs of Flora and Fauna to inspire my prints.   My unique style starts out life from original hand collaged artworks.  I like to print and paint my own papers to create unusual and interesting textures to collage with.  I then manipulate these collages using photoshop to create repeating patterns.

I only work with carefully selected British Companies.  My designs are all printed, handmade and packaged here in the UK. It is important to me that my little business is as sustainable and ethical as possible. I hand make the lampshades and I then use all the offcuts to make small gifts, so that there is very little waste.
